Official Meeting of the Aviation Authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan

From 17 to 20 February 2026, an official meeting between the leadership of the aviation authorities and air navigation service providers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan was held in Tashkent.

The event was aimed at strengthening constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation between the aviation authorities of the two countries, fostering sustainable and effective interaction, and aligning priority areas for further joint activities in the field of civil aviation.

During the negotiations, held in a spirit of partnership and mutual respect, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation, including possible aspects of improving the Agreement on the Delegation of Responsibility for Air Traffic Services. Particular attention was given to matters related to flight safety and enhancing the efficiency of air navigation services.

The participation of the leadership of the State Agency enabled a focused discussion on strategically important issues concerning the functioning and further development of delegated airspace mechanisms between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan. The importance of making balanced decisions that reflect the interests of both sides and contribute to strengthening regional aviation safety was emphasized.

Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to continuing an open and constructive dialogue aimed at further developing cooperation and strengthening trust in the field of civil aviation.
