The Civil Aviation Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic discussed the 2025 flight safety results and preparations for the European Commission’s mission.

The Civil Aviation Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic held a working meeting with the heads of airlines, OJSC “Airports of Kyrgyzstan,” and SE “Kyrgyzaeronavigation.”

During the meeting, Nurkan Turumbekov, Head of the Compliance and Safety Department, presented the results of the analysis of the state of flight safety in the civil aviation sector of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2025. Key safety performance indicators, an analysis of aviation occurrences, and identified risk factors were presented, and measures to further enhance the level of flight safety were discussed.

The participants also discussed preparations for the upcoming European Commission assessment mission within the framework of considering the removal of the Kyrgyz Republic from the European Union Aviation Safety List (EU Air Safety List). It was noted that the mission will be an important stage in evaluating the reforms carried out in the field of civil aviation.
