From 9 to 11 June 2026, the international conference “Ensuring the Airworthiness, Compliance, and Traceability of Aviation Components” was held in Astana, bringing together representatives of aviation authorities, industry organizations, and aviation specialists from Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, and Kazakhstan.
The conference was aimed at strengthening the capacity of aviation regulators and industry stakeholders in interpreting and applying airworthiness requirements for aircraft in the context of modern challenges related to sanctions restrictions and export controls. During the event, participants discussed current issues concerning compliance of aviation components with established requirements, their traceability, as well as approaches to the analysis of failures of aviation systems and components.
The event was organized by CRDF Global in partnership with the Office of Cooperative Threat Reduction, U.S. Department of State, with the participation of experts from Flight Safety Foundation.
The conference program included thematic presentations, interactive discussions, and practical exercises focused on airworthiness assurance, traceability of aviation components, the impact of global supply chains on aviation safety, and the role of aviation regulators in maintaining an appropriate level of civil aviation safety.
The primary objective of the participation of representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic was to gain insight into international best practices in the field of civil aviation regulation, airworthiness oversight of aeronautical products, and the enhancement of mechanisms for monitoring the compliance of aviation components with established standards and regulatory requirements.
During the event, participants exchanged practical experience, reviewed modern approaches to risk management in the aviation sector, and discussed prospects for further international cooperation aimed at enhancing flight safety and strengthening the resilience of the aviation industry.
