During the meeting, the parties discussed a range of current issues of mutual professional interest and identified priority areas for further cooperation in the field of civil aviation. The State Civil Aviation Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic informed the EU side about the measures being implemented to improve the regulatory and legal framework, strengthen organizational mechanisms of state oversight, including the updating of inspection and certification procedures, as well as enhancing the qualifications of inspectors. Particular attention was paid to the issue of the Kyrgyz Republic’s inclusion in the European Union Air Safety List. The Director of the Agency presented information on the process of removing the Kyrgyz Republic from this list, which provides for restrictions on air carriers certified in the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as on the progress of measures being implemented to address the identified deficiencies.
